This is the privacy policy for Moveable, a trading name of iPlace Global Ltd, 4 Old Park Lane, London, W1K 1QW, our website, moveable.uk.  Our other sites and services have their own policies which you can review when using their services.

Moveable is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this app/website, then please be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The purpose of this App is to make your home moving journey as seamless, transparent, and quick as possible.  We will protect your personal data at every stage of the process.

Who we are

Moveable is a brand of iPlace Global Ltd, 4 Old Park Lane, London W1K 1QW, who is Data Controller for purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 (the Act), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR).  The iPlace Global ICO registration number is Z1726192.

This privacy policy sets out how Moveable uses and protects the information that you give Moveable when you use this app.

What we collect

We may collect the following information from you when you sign up to the app. 

  • Name
  • Residential address
  • Contact information including email address and telephone number
  • IP address
  • Property Information
  • Personal data we generate about you such as when we assign you a unique ID, your geolocation, and how you interact with our services

 

In addition, we will ask you various questions to collect the data our service providers need for the purpose of providing you with quotes.  Where questions are optional, we shall explain what we need the data for.

  • Other information relevant to your request to receive our services and those services you select from our service providers
  • You will sometimes need to provide us with data about other people, for example where you request a quote that includes another person as a joint buyer or policyholder. Where you give us data about someone else, you must make sure that you have made that person aware of this Privacy Policy and that they are happy for you to provide their data. Where this privacy policy refers to “your data” this also includes data about anyone else whose data is provided to Moveable.

 

We will only pass your personal data to providers of services you have requested.  We shall never sell your information to any further parties

 

Legal Basis for Processing

  • The processing is necessary to meet contractual obligations when we use your personal information to fulfil the services you have asked us to provide.
  • Where appropriate, we will process your personal data with your consent – for example when we use cookies for data analytics purposes
  • When processing for marketing and promotion purposes such as sending news of new products or services, special offers or use personal data to improve our services we will process under legitimate interests. We shall conduct a legitimate interest assessment to make sure our business interests will not override your interests.  You will be able to opt out at any time.
  • From time to time we may be required by law to share your personal data with certain public authorities, regulatory bodies or law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to the Information Commissioner’s Office, The National Crime Agency, The Solicitors’ Regulation Authority, The Council for Licensed Conveyancers, The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, HMRC. Where the law requires us to disclose your personal data our legal basis for doing so shall be Legal Obligation.
  • We shall only process health or other special category data (such as religious beliefs) where you have provided us with explicit consent to do so.

 

What we do with the information we gather:

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service for the following reasons to:

  • Keep records relating to your journey, allowing us to progress your home move and keep you up to date
  • Generate notifications related to home mover tasks
  • Contact you to discuss purchasing products or services from Moveable and related companies
  • Internal record keeping
  • We may use the information we collect about you to improve our products and services
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, websites, special offers, services by ourselves or third parties which we think you may find interesting using the contact details you have provided
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone,or mail

If iPlace Global Ltd or its assets are acquired by a third party, the personal data held by iPlace Global Ltd about its customers will be transferred to the acquirer.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, technical, electronic, organisational and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.  We use state of the art technology for processing data at rest and data transfers , including encryption, and access control. Your personal data is processed with confidentiality and integrity. 

When you log into the app to gain access you are responsible for choosing a secure password.  You must keep the password confidential.

When we share your personal data

Moveable may share your personal information with other services providers but only when you request specific services from our partners offering home move related services such as conveyancing, home insurance, life insurance, mortgage providers, removals, and surveys.

Use of the app is free and we do not sell your personal data.  In some instances, Moveable will receive a referral fee if you choose to use the services of one of our partner service providers.

We may share your personal data with data processors who act under our instructions to provide services with confidentiality and integrity in compliance with relevant data protection laws, such as the Act, GDPR and PECR.

Where we store your data:

Your data will usually be held in a destination inside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). However, there may be times when the data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) to countries that provide an adequate level of protection. We will use the EU Standard Contract Clauses to cover the transfer of personal data outside the EEA and from the UK to and from countries in the EEA when the UK has left the EEA.

How we use cookies:
